Aquafence

Smarter and simple to install

The Norwegian produced flood barrier is built of plywood boards placed at right angles to one another. One board lies flat on the ground; another board is supported in an upright position by aluminum bars, which fit into a holder. Each element is linked to the next with the aid of an extremely strong and durable PVC plastic material. In order to prevent damage from drifting foreign objects, a PVC shield using the water as shock absorber can be easily mounted. The system is constructed in a manner that allows for rapid dismantling and removal. AquaFence is mobile and semi-mobile. Semi-mobile when plugs, which are fastened to a prepared solid cement foundation, are holding the boards in place. Everything is built over a membrane, which prevents the water from undermining the flood barrier. Mobile, when the system is rapidly be anchored directly to the ground by concrete or asphalt screws, plugs, straps, etc. on solid ground.

The installation of the fences requires only limited manpower. A team of six people can put up a length of 100 m of barrier in the course of one hour. The same team will require 72 hours to establish the same length of sandbags.
One of the major advantages of using AquaFence is that it reduces the need for establishing permanent structures on site. The elements can easily be stored until situations arise where they are needed.

Not hazardous waste -just rinse and store after use.
