Launch Success for FAUN Zoeller (UK) Ltd 4/5 VIAJET Sweepers
FAUN Zoeller (UK) Ltd has expanded its vehicle range with the launch the versatile, small bodied VIAJET 4/ 5 to compliments the larger 6&7 VIAJET 15t & 18t sweepers. It may be small, but it certainly makes up for it! That is an accurate description of the VIAJET 4/5 from FAUN. This 4/5 m³ machine does not lag behind its big brother, the VIAJET 6/7, in any aspect of its performance. The compact design makes for simple handling by the operator, and the clearly laid out control console gives the driver unrestricted room. By virtue of its hydrostatic transmission system, it is precisely in difficult sweeping tasks, where slow speeds are needed, that the VIAJET 4/5 can show its optimal handling qualities. By dispensing with the auxiliary motor, the VIAJET 4/5 also fully meets the increasing demands for environmental protection and safety, because it produces less exhaust gas and makes less noise as it sweeps.

In narrow streets and alleys the VIAJET 4/5 with its slim dimensions and small tyre size, can sweep nimbly on every route. On completion of the cleaning round, the filled container can be emptied without difficulty thanks to its smooth surface. So however demanding the sweeping task, working with the VIAJET 4/5 becomes an entirely clean affair.

OTTO ACQUISITION
In October 2010, Zoeller-Kipper GmbH acquired 100% of the shares of OTTO Lifts Limited, whose operations are based in Coalville, Leicestershire. The Zoeller Group are delighted with this acquisition as it compliments their current product range and technologies already existing within the Group.

The trading of OTTO Lifts Ltd will remain unchanged and the group as a whole will continue to strengthen their support for all of their customers in terms of product supply, after sales service and will continue to develop the strong relationships that are currently in place.

As part of the ongoing strategic alliance, between FAUN and the Zoeller Group, we are pleased to confirm that, as of Tuesday 1st February 2011, FAUN Municipal Vehicles Limited acquired the shares of Zoeller Waste Systems Limited.

In addition, it is the intention of FAUN Municipal Vehicles Limited to acquire the shares of OTTO Lifts Limited from Zoeller-Kipper GmbH.

Eco Innovation from FAUN Zoeller (UK) Ltd
Local Authorities and companies will be able to cut their fuel costs and become more eco-friendly by using FAUN Zoeller’s latest technology: Eco Drive Assistant (EDA). EDA is an electronic device that is fitted to the chassis of a refuse vehicle (new or old) to save fuel. FAUN Zoeller are, confident the innovative device will lead to big fuel savings. Simon Hyde, Managing Director of FAUN Zoeller (UK) says, “UK trials with Biffa were a resounding success, resulting fuel savings of over 10%.
