Transport Operations Research Group (TORG); Newcastle University

TORG is employing advanced technologies and behavioural research to address the need for radical changes in transport provision, traffic network management and public behaviour. The group focuses on research issues raised by the Foresight Intelligent Infrastructure study, the Stern Report and the Eddington Review. TORG is recognised internationally as a truly interdisciplinary research group currently engaged with high profile, high impact projects, funded by EPSRC, DTI, DfT and the EU in collaboration with the UK and overseas universities with strong working relationships with industry, local authorities and consultants.
