2,000 jobs could go at Cornwall Council
Up to 2,000 jobs at Cornwall Council could be axed in a bid to save £110 million over the next four years.
Details of how the savings would be made were discussed at a council briefing.
The move comes ahead of the outcome of the Government's spending review.
Council leader Alec Robertson said estimates suggested that around 2,000 jobs will go over the next few years.
The council plans to announce an emergency budget in November.
