London Councils has welcomed a major new national campaign to help people ‘Get Ahead of the Games’ during the capital’s busy summer of sport.

The advertising campaign highlights how Londoners and visitors can get travel tips and up-to-date information to help them avoid travel hotspots on the roads and public transport during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Councillor Catherine West, chair of London Councils transport and environment committee, said: “London’s roads and public transport will be busier than ever during the Games, and London’s councils are working hard to do everything they can to help keep the capital moving.

“Councils can help people and businesses plan their travel around the city this summer, letting Londoners enjoy the Games as well as being able to go about their daily lives."
