Cardiff appoints new chief executive

Jon House, who was once Sheffield’s chief superintendent and is now deputy chief executive of Bristol City Council, has been appointed as the new chief executive of Cardiff City Council.

He will take up the £175,000-a-year job in September replacing Byron Davies who retired last November.
