Lancashire seeks chief executive
Current chief executive Chris Trinick will be leaving the authority in May 2008. Mr Trinick has been at the helm of what is one of the largest local authorities in the country with a staff of 43,000 and a budget of £1.3bn, providing 86% of public services to the people of Lancashire.
Mr Trinick said: “I am immensely proud to have served Lancashire people as chief executive for six years.
“My contract ends in May 2008 and I am looking forward to the opportunity to explore new challenges. I look forward to welcoming my successor and working with them for a handover period.”
County Councillor Hazel Harding, Leader of Lancashire County Council, added: “It is essential that we attract excellent candidates for this top job.
“We aim to find an exceptional chief executive with the skills and talent to do the very best for the people of Lancashire.”
