Lincoln Council rejects racecourse plans
The City of Lincoln Council has rejected plans to reintroduce horseracing to a common in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Racecourse Regeneration Company proposed to bring professional racing back to the city for the first time in 45 years.
However the leader of the council, Councillor Darren Grice, told a public meeting the authority had ruled out the possibility of racing being held on the common.
