New look Trafford Council website ready to go live
The new-look Trafford Council website at www.trafford.gov.uk will have a 'Where You Are' section which will allow users to enter their postcode to view a range of information about their area including nearest schools, libraries, recycling centres and health services.
In addition, contact details for Trafford Direct, the council's customer service department, a comprehensive A-Z guide to the site, and quick links to pages that allow users to make payments and report problems, have been made more prominent on the homepage.
With the website comes the launch of a new discussion forum which will give local people the chance to have their say and chat to others about the issues that are important to them.
Trafford Council's executive member for customer and corporate services, Cllr Alex Williams, said: "The website has been revamped to make it easier than ever before for residents and businesses in Trafford to interact with the council.
"Users can now not only access a range of services and information online, but can also get involved in the new discussion forum where they can share their views and make new friends.
"We hope that the re-launched website and its new facilities help the online Trafford community to continue growing."
