Councils from across Cambridgeshire are now urging the government to step in over the controversial plans to build the Hanley Grange eco-town.
Jarrow Investments and Tesco have announced they will not be pulling out of the project despite news that major landowner Wellcome Trust would not be part of the scheme.
Council chiefs, local MPs and Cambridgeshire Horizons, who have been campaigning against the scheme, are saying enough is enough, and have called for the government to throw the scheme out in light of the changes, which they claim bare no resemblance to what the Minister first agreed should be short listed.
