Rochdale appoints new director of children's services

Cheryl Eastwood is to take over as director of children’s services at Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council next year.

Eastwood, who will start her new role next spring, will succeed Terry Piggott, who retires during 2010.

She is currently deputy director of services for children and young people at Tameside Borough Council.
