South Cambridgeshire appoints new chief

South Cambridgeshire District Council has appointed a new chief executive.

Jean Hunter, 53, replaces Greg Harlock, 59, who announced his retirement in February and will leave at the end of August.

Hunter is currently chief executive of South Ribble Borough Council. She has held senior positions in local government for more than 20 years, initially with Leicester City Council and then as chief executive at East Hampshire District Council prior to joining South Ribble in June 2000.
