Stockport Council provides green boost for businesses
Stockport Council organised an event last week for local businesses to find out how they can ‘go green’.
The free event provided information, guidance and advice on green legislation and how businesses can become more environmentally focused.
Attendees found out more about support available for businesses in the low carbon sector, how to respond to demand for low carbon products and how to make the most of sustainable travel.
Stockport Council leader, Councillor Dave Goddard, said: “The low carbon economy offers great potential to the borough and its businesses. We are committed in Stockport to embracing the challenge presented by the low carbon agenda and using it to create opportunities for jobs and training.”
